Punjab University, Chandigarh has invited applications for filling up total 150 positions for various teaching and academic posts in the P.U. departments. The eligible candidates can apply by 14 October 2014.

Eligibility:
Director Professor: A good academic record with Ph.D qualification in the concerned discipline.
Professor: A good academic record with Ph.D qualification in the concerned discipline.
Associate Professor: A Master’s degree with at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade.
Assistant Professor: Good academic record with at least 50% marks at Master’s degree level in relevant discipline.
Director, Physical Education & Sports: Ph.D. in Physical Education.
Chief of University Security: Graduate in any discipline with some relevant experiences.
Assistant Director/ Assistant Professor: Master’s degree with at least 50% marks
Age limit :
Candidate’s age should not exceed 56 years as on 31 December 2014 for all the posts.
Selection procedure: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in an Interview.
How to apply:
One set of attested copies of certificates and detailed marks cards in support of qualifications for matriculation/ school leaving, 12th class, graduation, post-graduation, doctoral degree must be attached with the application. Candidates are required to submit duly filled-in application form in all respects, along with fee pay-in-slip (University’s copy) to reach “The Deputy Registrar (Estt.), Panjab University, Chandigarh” by October 14, 2014 upto 4:00 P.M.
Application fee: Rs 375 (Rs 150 for SC/ ST and 185 for physically handicapped) to be deposited in Account No. 33417855484 of Panjab University, Chandigarh, payable at all branches of State Bank of India.
